March 5, 2004, Newsletter Issue #20: Electronic Art Requirements for Promotional Products

Tip of the Week

Artwork for Promotional Products such as pens, glassware, yardsticks, calendars, etc., all need good clear, clean and crisp artwork. The finished product will only look as good as the artwork that is received with the order.

Electronic art is required in Vector format in Adobe Illustrator V9.0 or less (NO PDF FILES) or Corel Draw V10 or less. All files should have ALL text converted to curves or outlines.

Promotional product factories can not and will not accept Word document files, Power Point files or Publisher files. Also we can`t accept .bmp, .tiff, .gif or .pdf files.

We will try to match PMS (Pantone Matching System) colors as close as possible but in most cases our factories will have a PMS charge as they have to mix the inks for the imprinted order.

If hard copy art is to be submitted the color must be separated with registration marks and output as a minimum 600dpi on high quality photo paper, clear film or velum.
